Megascans Bridge in Blender 5

Megascans Bridge is no longer maintained and even the latest plugin version does not work with Blender 5. So I updated it and fixed a few bugs in the process

Quixel Bridge to Blender plugin v3.9

The latest version of the Quixel Bridge to Blender plugin you can download from their website is 3.8.

However, even though Quixel indicates "Exported Successfully", nothing happens with this plugin.

Plugin update

I updated the python script and th plugin is now in versionto V3.9.

Here is the changelog: 

  • Cycles feature_set and displacement_method API changes
  • ShaderNodeSeparateRGB removal
  • FBX import rotation/scale fixed

Making it work

  1. Make sure you have Blender V5 or more installed. 
    Or preferrably, the 5.2 LTS (Long Term Support) version
  2. Log in to your Quixel Account 
  3. Download and install the last version of Megascans Bridge (2025.0.0), which you will find listed on your account page
  4. Install the Blender plugin (V3.8) via Megascans
  5. Go to C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\5.2\scripts\addons\MSPlugin and remove the MSPlugin directory
  6. Copy the 3.9 version of the MSPlugin directory
  7. Open Brige, then Blender 
  8. In Blender, go to edit > preferences > Add-ons and enable the Megascans plugin
  9. Test the upload

It should work!
